After all the long, argumentative and wordy recent posts, I thought a return to a little visual loveliness might be in order.
These three images caught my eye for a number of reasons. She’s obviously very beautiful. I love the contrasting black of the lingerie and hair, with her delicate skin tone and slash of red lips. I also like the setting. Warm woods and fabrics make a nice change from dungeon drabness. But that really grabbed me was her serene expression. She’s not aloof or cold, just calm, composed and in control.

See, for me, it’s impossible to miss the boots. Black matter, supple, thigh-high leather boots.
She’s nearly naked otherwise, wearing only soft, brief lingerie. Then the imposing, dominant, sensual yet powerfully symbolic black leather boots.
And not ankle-high, or even to the knee. No, they are thighboots.
For me, the statement is one of casual calm and security, from the lingerie….combined with the one element of power- black leather thigh high boots.
If she wanted to further accentuate the latter, she’d have also worn either short, tight wrist-length black leather or latex gloves, or gauntlet-style black leather gloves. Both of which, at least to me, but to Domina’s I’ve known, as well, impart an air of ‘working the male,’ rather than the erotic sensuality of opera-length black kid gloves.

I actually have mixed impressions of them. I like them a lot in the first shot. I don’t really like them in the last shot. They look uncomfortable there, not really suited for the activity she’s doing and where she’s doing it. I think that’s where it flips for me from visually appealing and dominant to fetishistic, placing the appearance of the boots over comfort and suitability.

Let me weigh in on the FD perspective of these photos. They’re missing what I would enjoy most, the look in the male submissive’s eyes as she lifts his head to make eye contact with her eyes. There’s also the very good positioning of his body, which she helps maintain with some nice rope work (something I need help with).
And paltego, while I don’t comment often, I do enjoy your argumentative and wordy posts. They’re a nice break from your regular, but interesting, routine.

It’s funny that you weighed in with your perspective on these photos, because as I was writing the post I almost added something about them being particularly for my submissive male readers. I was very aware that they’re focused on her, rather than the two of them and their interaction. You don’t even get to see his face. In some ways that makes for great porn for male subs, as we can project into the scene. Less interesting from the other side of the D/s divide.

From what various Dominas whom I have served have explained, the feeling they get wearing thighboots like the ones in this picture often overwhelm any temporary discomfort they feel.
