Fetishists don’t get a lot of love. That seems an odd thing to say when the internet is awash in fetish imagery, but I think it’s true. When it comes to kinksters rather than pornographers, it’s a lot more about interpersonal dynamics, shared activities and top/bottom space. That’s true for most kinky blogs, including this one. Sadomasochism and D/s almost always require a complex and negotiated relationship with another person. In contrast fetishism can often come across as selfish, a focus on a thing rather than a person. That objectifying focus is, after all, the definition of fetishism.
I was therefore happy to read Liliane Hunt’s recent post in praise of foot fetishism. I can’t say feet do much for me, but I appreciate her pleasure in it, and her perspective as the fetishistic target. A pleasure shared is a pleasure more than doubled in my experience.
This image originally caught my eye for its composition and symmetry, but what I really like is his cheeky outstretched tongue. There’s a nice interplay between her haughty pose and his playful attitude.
The image is entitled ‘On Top‘ and is by the photographer Anastasiy Mikhaylov.
