Danielle Lindemann’s book Dominatrix contains an amusing description of a guy with a fetish for bondage in carpets…
I approach the bar and put my foot on what I assume is a step, when I hear a faint “Oof!” The man is laid out in front of the bar, fully submerged in the rug, his face peering out of a roughly cut hole. I step off and apologize, but I am immediately “corrected” by a nearby domme.
“That’s okay, sweetie—he likes it!” She proceeds to kick the carpet repeatedly and with great force in her platform boots, while the other people at the bar look on with a mixture of nonchalance and delight. The man in the rug beams the whole time. I return to the table where I’ve been sitting.
“I just accidentally stepped on a guy rolled in a rug,” I tell the group of people who’ve brought me to the party.
“Carpet Guy’s here?” one responds.
I was entertained by this scene when I first read it, but never thought I’d have chance to quote it. As fetishes go it sounded like a fairy unusual one. Then I ran across the image below. I think it’s targeted more to foot fetishists, but there’s clearly a rolled up carpet being used as a method of restraint. Either carpet guy is now doing fetish modelling or it’s not as unique an interest as I first thought.
The image is originally from the Foot on Face site. I found it via the Femdom Chronicles tumblr.
Hi, paltego!
Carpet fetish is unusual but by no means unheard of.
There is a man in NYC who attends Suspension parties (a play/fetish event held monthly) and other fetish parties. He places himself at the bar or snack table. He is wrapped in an odd cocoon of industrial-strength carpeting. There is a cutout for his face.
He definitely prefers to be trod upon by women, but since he’s at the bar, he does endure the odd male trampling.
It’s the weirdest thing. I’ve never had a conversation with him. I just check in when I stand on him, so that I know I’m not physically damaging him. “You okay down there?”
The expression on his face is pure bliss.
Hey Miss Margo,
The story from Danielle Lindemann was actually all about a fetish party in NYC, so it’s entirely possible that’s the same guy :). No doubt there are others with the same interest (I’ve also read of guys wanting to be kitchen floor tiles), but it sounds awfully like you’ve been to the same parties she did!

New blog lurker here, uncloaking only to say that I wish you had a simple “like” button I could click on your posts! “Carpet guy’s here?” made me chuckle.
In the absence of that button: *like*
I’ll go back to lurking now. 😀
I always love to have a lurker de-lurk, however briefly! So thanks a lot for the like.
There’s probably a wordpress plug in for adding a like button to posts. I should investigate it. I have seen some kinky blogs with facebook integration, which always strikes me as nuts. I’ve got all sorts of people as my facebook friends, and the last thing I want to do is inadvertently hit like on some kinky porn blog for all of them to see 🙂
Anyway, glad you enjoyed the post, although I can’t claim credit on the anecdote. I just happened to have an image and a quote I could bring together.
