I’m not sure if 11Dutch spotted my post from yesterday or it’s just great blogging karma, but a year after his last Yapoo themed post, he has just put up another one in his series. Even better, he has managed to find someone working on an English translation of the original novel. There are only 3 chapters completed to date (out of a total of 14), but that’s a good start and I’m going to enjoy catching up with what’s there already.
My thanks to 11Dutch for his excellent find and to the translator N A Feathers for the work to date. This is also gives me a chance to feature some more pictures from the Team Rinryu site. I try and avoid posting their more extreme material on my front page, so I’ll go with a couple of drawings from their blog that were obviously based on the Yapoo themes.
It’s definitely blogging karma. A few days before someone posted the link on one of the boards I frequent.
I only found out you wrote about it too, after I finished the post. What I normally do is write the article in a basic editor such as Notepad, then transfer it to my blog and once I’m finished I look at the list of blogs that I follow. Imagine my surprise… So, definitely blogging karma 🙂
As for the “Yapoo Philisophy”, it makes me slightly uncomfortable.
That is a really odd coincidence. I actually saw your originally two posts several months ago and had been meaning to write something on them for some time. I just never had the time or it didn’t fit into the post sequence I had going. Glad the kinky Gods smiled on our timing!
Thanks again for your research and posts on the topic. Taught me a lot. I’m definitely going to enjoy reading the original book in the English translation.
Personally I really like the images and video they produce. It’s extreme, but pushes a lot of my buttons. The philosophy behind it is a more complex question that I’m less clear in my own head about.
