I say it’s unsurprising because that’s my general impression across a range of professions. Women tend to listen more and be more thoughtful in their approach. Less of a gung-ho attitude. Given the option, I’d always prefer to have a woman sticking sharp things in me, whether it’s in the operating theatre or the dungeon.

Interesting. I had a similar experience but in reverse. My older lady dentist retired to be replaced by a young dude. She was very thoughtful and detail focused. He blasts through his spiel and checkups in double quick time. He probably does good work – nothing bad has happened so far – but he never leaves me feeling like he’s actually listening to much I say.
