I normally try and pick images that’ll be interesting to a broad range of people. I’m never going to post something I don’t personally like, but my immediate reaction isn’t the single selection criteria I use. There are a lot of images I think are hot but don’t get posted here because there’s nothing striking or distinctive about them.
However, on this occasion I’m afraid you’re going to have to indulge me. I’ve nothing clever to say about this image. I just want to do bad things with her. Or, more specifically, I want her to do very bad things to me. Screaming would be involved.
I found this on the Bedroom Fairy Tales tumblr site.
Hi Paltego,
This image calls to mind a woman I once had a very close brush with many years ago.
I had just come back from two years in Afghanistan with the Peace Corps and stopped to visit a college buddy of mine in Charlotte, NC. He had married his sweetheart, a gorgeous freckled redhead with a steamy manner about her kind of like Lauren Bacall.
It was obvious that they were having some marital difficulties and, when he left for work, she joined me in the living room where I was still in my sleeping bag. She sat across from me, with her first cup of morning coffee and looked enticing in the same way the lady in this picture looks.
It’s easy to see where the myth of the sirens comes from. I was so close to betraying my friend and I know that the moment would have been sweet and that I might well have gotten away with it. But it would have changed things and I don’t think I could have remained friends with him and I know I wouldn’t have liked myself for having done it.
All these years later, they’ve been long divorced (I wonder why) but he and I remain dear friends. I shared this story with him a few years ago and he raised an eyebrow but passed me the joint we were sharing and laughed about it.
Best,
scott

Hey Scott,
If the lady looked anything like this then resisting temptation must have been a major internal struggle. I salute your commitment to friendship and resistance to the sirens call!
