I’m intrigued by this shot, mainly because I’ve absolutely no idea what’s going on. He’s acting like a towel rail, yet staring up as if he’s just spotted a large insect scuttling across the ceiling in his direction. She looks like she wants to give him more laundry to hold, yet I can’t see the impromptu towel rail taking that extra load and he’s making no effort to reach out. Is it forniphilia? CFNM? Domestic service? Art? A reverse image search led me to this blog post, which left me none the wiser (partly because the utterly retarded Google translation service can’t deal with Google’s own adult warning page on blogspot). I kind of like the image just for its strangeness alone.
I originally came across it on the Femdom Core tumblr.
I didn’t have any problems getting the blog to translate. It’s the blog of a very talented Spanish Photography student. Her primary work is called “Estranged Sex” and it’s really quite interesting. The photos represent people who are “estranged” from each other yet still engaging in sex acts. In her photos the participants are almost always explicitly NOT looking at each other.
This blog entry is her reporting of a speech she made with 2 other female photographers about her creative process. The only comment on this particular photo is that it was one she left out of her exhibit because it wasn’t good enough.
Hmm, weird. I tried multiple times in both Firefox and IE to get the blog to translate, and it always got confused on the entry splash page that asks if you’re OK with adult content.
Anyway, thanks a lot for looking at the link and providing the information here. Very useful. That explanation makes a lot of the other photographs make a lot more sense now! There are some really interesting and curious ideas there, along with some great images.
Thanks,
paltego
