Medical role play is pretty common in BDSM and particularly in femdom. It’s a natural fit with the dominant female authority figure and all those invasive and potentially painful medical treatments. Everything from needles and catheters through to straightjackets and dental gags have been appropriated into the kinky domain.
Most femdom medical imagery is pretty fetishistic, with lots of shapely nurses brandishing random medical equipment and staring into the camera. For example, this kind of shot. Pretty but not all that scary. For really disturbing kinky medical themed images it turns out the fashion industry is the place to look. Specifically this shoot for Interview Magazine by photographer Steven Klein featuring Karolina Kurková and Crystal Renn.
Apparently it draws heavily on the institutional white trend of Spring 2012 and features such designers as Jennifer Fein, Stella McCartney and Dolce & Gabbana. It’s certainly one of the most fetishistic and BDSM heavy fashion shoots I’ve ever seen. I’m guessing they must have hired a professional bondage rigger for the ropework shot. I think if a photographer for somewhere like Kink.com had come back with these images they’d have sent him away with the instructions to come up with something a little less fucked up next time.
WOW! Paltego, what a find! This are some EXCELLENT photographs! I just might have to appropriate them for myself, if you have no objection! Girl/Girl does nothing for me, but when you’re a perv like me, you take your thrills where you can find them. This is some hot, edgy stuff. That key ring the nurse wears really makes it.
I’ve always been mystified by the fetish for medical play and kink. No judgement–there’s nothing objectively wrong with it, and people like what people like. But I always want to ask: “Have you ever spent a lot of time in a hospital, man?” NOT a very sexy place, if you ask me!
If anyone can explain it to me, please do. I’d like to understand.
Anyway: hot pics, and artistically they are very beautiful photographs. mmmmmm droool drool drool They are going into my coconut porn folder, if you don’t mind.
Lastly: Dolce & Gabbana have the HOTTEST, WEIRDEST, most creepy and fetish-y ads out there. I collect the ads and sock them away like a weird little squirrel. I don’t wanna self-promote on your blog, Paltego, but I feature some of their fetishy ads on my blog under the tag “Making porn out of coconuts.”
hot post. Thanks!
Hey Miss Margo,
I couldn’t possibly object to any appropriation. I stole them from other sites, so I’m merely the latest person to spread these around the web.
Funny that you picked up on the key ring, because that was one of the elements that I picked up on, although I couldn’t for the life of me say why. It’s very institutional, and a little old fashion, but I’ve no idea why either of those elements would be hot to me. Yet somehow, it is.
I personally hate hospitals and never do medical role play (or really any form of role play). But I do enjoy a lot of the medical style of play. I find the very invasive form of control, penetrating the body (skin, bladder, mouth, whatever) to be very sexy. I think it’s a combination of the extreme degree of control and the permitted nature of it. A nurse doesn’t need to negotiate a scene, she’s hurting you for your own good. There’s something about that duality that makes it powerful.
Oh, and feel free to self-promote! I just followed your “Making porn out of coconuts” link and thoroughly enjoyed your comments on ‘Taken’ and ‘The skin I live in’. Two completely different movies but very enjoyable in entirely different ways. Taken is very much a guilty pleasure.

Very disturbing and uncommon images. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Camille. Definitely disturbing, which is pretty much why they caught me eye. Glad you appreciated them.

Wow! 🙂
I just wish they had a man in bondage instead… 😉
Thanks Vista. Glad you liked it. I’m personally neutral on the Fm or Ff thing, but if I see a similar set featuring a man I will undoubtedly feature it for you 🙂
