Happy Thanskgiving

It’s Thanksgiving here in America. I always enjoy the holiday, but as an Englishman it doesn’t have the meaning for me that it does for my American friends. They grew up with the idea of turkey in November, where for me that month always meant fireworks and sausages on Guy Fawkes night.

However, I am keen to support the local traditions. For a femdom blog on Thanksgiving I think that means either a kinky pun on the idea of stuffing or a domestic scene featuring a domme dealing with a naked kitchen slave. This year, courtesy of Femme Fatale Films I’ve gone with a combination of both. I’m not exactly sure what’s going on in the first shot, but it does look like he’s about to get stuffed with something. I can only hope they keep their kitchen pervertibles in a clearly labelled draw and don’t mix them in with other utensils in the dishwasher.

A happy customer

I spotted this cheerful image on Ms Michelle Lacy’s twitter feed. Based on the ass writing, I’m going to guess the implements she’s brandishing are from the CANE-IAC store. I’ve not ordered from them myself, but she looks pretty happy with what they offer. While we can’t see his expression, I’d hope that a playful domme with a handful of slappy toys would be creating an equally big smile at the other end of her human billboard.

The odd little moments

I’ve had many powerful and moving experiences in kinky play over the years. Some of them have been almost transcendent in their intensity. Yet it’s typically the odd and funny little moments that stick in my mind afterwards. The giggly aftermath of play or a funny one liner during the set-up.

Last week is a good case in point. I had a fabulous session with Lydia, involving much happy moaning and floaty feelings. At one point she was doing a series of piercings in my butt cheeks, which proved to be surprisingly painful. I wasn’t shy to communicate this fact via some loud groaning, to which Lydia commented it was strange the piercing hurt so much as “…over the years I’ve done terrible things to your bottom.” Despite the intensity of the moment, I couldn’t help laughing out loud to that line. And ever since then I’ve smiled to myself whenever I happen to think of it.

Sadly we didn’t snap any shots of the piercings in question. So I’ll finish the post with a shot of another lady doing terrible things to someone’s bottom. That’s a pretty good impact indentation.

A Hard Paddling

I’m afraid I don’t have an original source for this. I found it on the bossymsbecky tumblr.

Venus in Furs (cont)

While I’m on the subject of the classic book, it would be remiss of me not to mention the new illustrated edition of it by the immensely talented Sardax. I have a kindle edition, which for reasons that escape me has become hard to track down. Isn’t one of the selling points of electronic books that they don’t go out of print and are always in stock? Anyway, if you’re interested in a copy, Sardax has a collection of links to places carrying the hard copy edition.

I have to admit I’m not the biggest fan of the original story. I’m glad I purchased the Sardax illustrated version, as it’s a book I feel I have to own and his artwork is always a pleasure, but unfortunately I find the primary character and narrator whiny and annoying. The writing is also very much of its time, which means its verbose, meandering and very formal in its language. David Ives was undoubtedly wise to avoid a straight translation of the book, and instead do a play with a play, letting him take the theme but put his own modern twist on it.

Of course, mentioning Sardax gives me an excuse to feature some of his brilliant artwork. This is from his illustrated version of the book.

Let’s hope the wind doesn’t change

I pull all sorts of odd expressions during play. Hell, I pull all sorts of odd expressions all the time. Just taking the top off a jar or figuring out the tip on a check can generate a wide variety of strange facial contortions. So I’ve a lot of sympathy for the lady below. There she is, putting maximum effort and concentration into caning this guys ass, and she ends up getting caught with this particular snap. I can only hope the gentleman on the receiving end appreciates the effort she’s putting in. Judging by his well marked posterior and his clenched fist that shouldn’t be a problem.

Thwarted by technology

Apologies for the lack of posts over the last couple of days. My Comcast internet connection has been somewhat unreliable. I’ve been trying to think of a striking metaphor to express just how unreliable. Political promises, old British sportscars and Fox news all came and went as possible comparison points. However, it just struck me that a Comcast internet connection itself might be the definitive benchmark. It defines the standard. So I guess my internet connection is as unreliable as a Comcast internet connection.

I don’t think that they’re the worst company in the world, as they just got voted, but they’re certainly frustrating. In my fantasy world I’d be able to call on this strong armed woman to sort them out. Anytime my connection went down, she’d spring into action. Their engineers would have to be ready, pants around their ankles, from 8am to 2pm everyday I had a problem. Then she’d arrive at 1:59pm, tell them she didn’t have the right kind of paddle and disappear, only returning after several hours to wallop the hell out of them. With that kind of determined look I’m sure she’d get quick results.

Looning

I always find it strange the way unusual talents, interests and kinks are treated so differently. An odd talent, say the ability to play the bagpipes or cultivate bonsai, make someone quirky and interesting. People might consider you eccentric if you spend hours restoring antique typewriters or learning to bind books, but only in a friendly and harmless way. Yet admit to rare fetishes, perhaps sploshing with custard pies, or pretending to be a dog, and suddenly we’re into weird and strange territory. We’ve redrawn the lines of sexual acceptability over the years. Things like bondage or anal sex have become conventional if not common, yet we’ve not yet got away from that judgmental attitude for less common sexual interests.

Personally I think that’s a great pity. I love learning about new kinks, even if they do nothing for me sexually. For example, I find balloon fetishes fascinating. Apparently, according to this very informative site, they’re known as looners and come in two varieties, the self-explanatory poppers and non-poppers. There are even semi-poppers, who I guess would be the switches of the balloon fetish world. I think it’s great that something so fun and cheerful as a balloon can also be sexual exciting to people.

The image below could be catering to a number of kinky interests – S&M, CFNM, humiliation, etc. In my heart I’m really hoping she’s a popper and he’s a non-popper. Then they’d be simultaneously combining two different type of balloon fetish into a tortuous D/s and S&M scene. That’d be some advanced grade, Ph.D level kinkyness right there.

Balloons and femdom

Tumblr technicalities

Apologies in advance to my regular readers. I intend to use this post for selfish ends. Specifically to pick the brains of tumblr owners. Anyone looking purely for femdom related material should probably skip to the picture at the end.

For anyone with a tumblr still reading, here’s my issue: As I’ve mentioned in the past, I maintain a tumblr for animated femdom material. Today I noticed that the front page was throwing up spammy pop-up windows and trying to get readers to download something that looked like malware. I spent sometime hunting around the tumblr dashboard and the settings, but couldn’t find anything that looked like suitable for debugging the issue. Eventually I used Firebug to poke around the page and found that one of the reblogged posts had smuggled in some suspicious looking javascript. It was trying to look like a Google analytics script, but when I deleted the post all the issues went away. I don’t think this was happening when I did the original reblog, so I’m guessing it got enabled once the initial post had spread around.

This seems like a horrible tumblr security hole. I would have assumed that any reblogs would be filtered and scrubbed for scripts. Or at the very least there would be a warning that the reblog contained a script. I can’t see any options in tumblr to block this kind of behavior. I also can’t see any good tools on the dashboard to debug this kind of issue. Am I missing something? Has anyone else observed similar behavior? Is tumblr reblogging this badly broken or am I just stupid?

Great as the tumblr idea is, I think its dashboard programmers need a good talking to. The functionality is very limited. Perhaps a good beating by the lady below would help focus their minds?

Bent Over for a Beating

I found this image on the Domination on My terms tumblr. I should also add that’s not the tumblr where I reblogged the problematic post from.

Spanking confessions

There’s a recently published article on Salon about a spanking aficionado coming to terms with and confessing his kink. It’s written from the point of view of a male top and, apart from the inappropriate stock photograph at the top, it’s a good insight into the kind of self-analysis and relationship risks a lot of kinky people have to enter into.

Male submissives often complain, with some justification, about the cultural unacceptability of their kinks. This article is a good reminder that dominants of both genders have their own set of problems to face. Particularly those that enjoy potentially painful activities. Telling someone you like to be hurt in certain specific ways risks them thinking you’re weird. Telling someone you like to hurt people risks them thinking you’re both weird and dangerous, no matter how much you emphasize the consensual nature of the act. Just a quick glance at the article comments will confirm the reactions that this confession can provoke from non-kinky people.
