Happy puddle

A short post tonight. Typing anything is tricky. I’m a happy puddle of endorphins and smiles after playing with two wonderfully talented women. I’m also missing some blood, which I’m now replacing with red wine. Not sure my doctor would approve. Forget a long post. Even long sentences are taxing.

We did snap some photographs, which I’ll feature tomorrow.  Until then I’ll leave you with the two ladies in question. This the lovely Cynthia Stone and amazing Inga Larsson.

Better Than Life (cont)

In yesterday’s post I talked about VR porn and some of the issues I’d found when trying it out. While there’s room for improvement, it’s undoubtedly a unique experience that’s worth playing with. Most people trying it for the first time – whether they’re looking at adult content or not – come away suprised and impressed.

I thought for this post I’d try and suggest some kinky femdom niches that might fit with the constraints of the current systems. Unfortunately, my kinks don’t really align to the suggestions below, so I could be way off base here. That said, if I was going to suggest who’s likely to get the most out of the current technology cycle, it’d be people into…

  • Giantesses
Unless you manage to find a domme who has encountered strange radiation from space, this is pretty tough kink to fulfill. However, I think it works great in VR. With a low camera it’s easy to create a sense of being small and insignificant. You can do the same in regular films, but it’s a way more effective technique in 3D and 360 degree vision.
  • Fetishisation of things like boots, heels, legs, etc.
I found the inability to touch or interact was frustrating, but if you just want to look at something and admire it from different angles, then VR would probably work better than a regular movie.
  • Humiliation, abuse and teasing.
There’s a significant existing market for POV shots of dommes insulting and teasing the audience sitting ‘at their feet’ (for example). This’d clearly be a lot more compelling an experience with a life size three dimensional domme doing all the sneering.  If you want to be a pathetic worm who isn’t fit to speak to or touch your domme, then the lack of interaction or feel wouldn’t be a problem.
  • Sadists.
This one is a bit of an odd one, but I think there might be a market for videos from the top perspective. As a masochist I get off on the physical sensation of pain. That’s hard to simulate currently in VR. A sadist gets off on the reaction of the masochist, and that can be observed in VR. I found one short flogging clip filmed in 3D from from the dominant POV, and it felt like a very different experience than a regular flogging clip. It put me far more inside the top’s head than normal, which was an odd place for a submissive.

The problem with all these ideas right now is the lack of content available and the lack of consumers with the right equipment willing to purchase it. That’s a catch-22 that can only be solved with time. But if I was a kinky VR porn producers, I’d focus my efforts on those four areas and hope for the best.

Always something new to learn

Female readers who find themselves in San Francisco or New York in January may be interested to check out the Forte Femme event. It’s run by Midori and is an intensive course over a weekend for dominant women. In the words of their site, it’s designed to offer a…

supportive environment exploring what it means to find and enjoy your power as a dominant femme.

I can’t speak to the course personally, as being neither dominant nor female, I’m not exactly the target audience. But I know Midori has been running course and events like this for years and she has an excellent reputation as a BDSM and kink expert.

Underneath the Mistletoe

Overwatch is a big thing in gaming these days. It’s not really my big thing, as I’m not into shooters, but a recent Christmas promotion event did catch my eye thanks to one of the characters unconventional approach to kissing under the mistletoe. I’m not going to burn all my bandwidth hosting the the associated animated gif, but you can check it out in this article. Less kissing, more punching and sneering.

What I found particularly amusing was all the responses the article listed after the gif. A lot of fans (both men and women) seemed very happy about the idea of being beaten up by Widowmaker underneath the mistletoe. I already knew Overwatch had kinky players (see this previous post), but apparently there’s a lot more out there than I thought. Even if they don’t always seem to know it themselves.

Short break

Posts might be infrequent to non-existent over the next few days. I’m travelling again, and I’m not sure how much free time I’ll have or if I’ll have a WiFi signal. Also, in the light of recent events, I feel less in a posting mood and more in a drinking heavily and cursing angrily to myself mood.

When I get back I’ll hopefully have discovered the energy to overhaul the blog and bring it up to date. I really need to include some more social media links, particularly twitter. On the technical side, Google doesn’t like my lack of mobile friendliness and there’s odd problems with comments I want to fix. On a related topic, if anyone has had loading time issues with the blog, please let me know via a comment. It seems to have been slow to me, but I’m not sure if everyone is seeing that.

Before I head off to execute on my travel+drink plan, I’ll leave you with a nice image that caught my eye. Possibly it’ll represent how some of you are feeling right now.

No on Prop 60

A few days ago I wrote that I tried to avoid politics popping up too often on this blog. It turns out I might have lied about that, as I’m about to do another political post. For a change it’s not presidential politics, but local politics. Specifically, Californian politics in the form of proposition 60.

This proposed measure might have achieved something unique in American politics. It mandates that all adult performers would have to wear condoms when filming scenes and, in a country divided on so many other issues, has succeeded in uniting people. Specifically, in uniting people against it. As Casey Calvert points out in this excellent article, both the Californian Republican and the Californian Democratic party are opposed to it. As are adult performers, most major state newspapers, the Libertarian party, Aids Project LA, Equality California, the Transgender Law Center and the San Francisco Aids Foundation. When something has that eclectic a collection of opponents, you know something must be up.

There are a lot of messed up things about the proposed law, but one of the worst seems to be that anyone can sue a producer for a violation. And, given that many performers are also producers (particularly in the femdom genre), that casts a very wide net. Essentially any random weirdo could demand the personal information of anyone they can claim is violating the law. On top of that, if they can win their case, they get 25% of the penalty. Given all the movies already floating around that don’t use condoms, the frequent cross-over between producer/performer, the number of lawyers and weirdo’s in California, and the financial incentives involved, it seems like a recipe for disaster. And that’s not even getting into the issues of practicality and personal rights that Tasha Reign covers in this article.

As a Washington resident I don’t get to vote on this, but I’d urge all my Californian readers to vote no. In the meantime, I’ll use the excuse of mentioning Casey Calvert, to feature this rather lovely shot of her and Ariel X.

Service dynamics

As well as dipping my toe back into kinky waters in San Francisco, I’ve also been indulging my fetish for fine dining. I love great food, but I also enjoy observing the theater the goes along with high end restaurants. It’s almost like a roleplay, combing drama, craftsmanship and a finely tuned business machine. It’s designed to make every customer feel like they have a unique and personal experience, while at the same time making it endlessly reproducible.

The customer/server dynamic in these restaurants always intrigues me. There’s an element of D/s in it, but who plays what role can be highly variable. I had a great meal at a restaurant I’ll call AC in San Francisco, and experienced two very different servers. One made me feel pampered and that every little need was taken care of. The other had a quietly superior vibe that pushed all my internal submissive buttons. I imagined that if a drop of sauce was spilt she might force me to lick it up. The former’s philosophy seemed to be “I really hope you like it…” while the latter was “You better damn well like it…” You can probably guess who I enjoyed interacting with the most.

Eric Kroll

A few weeks back I featured a photograph from the erotic and fetish photographer Eric Kroll. By odd coincidence, just a short while later, I came across this ErosBlog post on a GoFundMe page for Eric. He’s trying to keep his enormous collection of material together and keep a roof over his head. I’ve a real soft spot for old school erotic/fetish photographers who worked in the pre-internet days, and I suspect a number of my readers feel the same way. If you do then maybe consider contributing to his GoFundMe. As an added bonus, any donation over $30, gets you a signed print from Eric.

The image below was taken by Eric and features the famous domme Isabella Sinclair with submissive Lystra, taken from this sequence.

Ladykiller in a bind

Fans of dating sims, visual novels and kinky consensual lesbian sex might want to check out a new game called Ladykiller in a bind. Or, to use it’s full and very descriptive title – My Twin Brother Made Me Crossdress As Him And Now I Have To Deal With A Geeky Stalker And A Domme Beauty Who Want Me In A Bind!

I’ve not played it, so can’t personally comment on the content, but based on this article, it seems like an interesting concept. If it seems like something you’d be in to, then look for it on September 23rd.

Pulling hair with Kate McKinnon

Continuing the movie theme from the previous post, this video features porn legend Nina Hartley and star of the new Ghostbusters film, Kate McKinnon. It’s a very sexy and fun clip, with Nina using Kate to demonstrate the right way to pull hair. I think it’d be safe to say that Kate enjoyed being the demo bottom. But then with Nina in charge of the pulling, who wouldn’t?

Thanks to this post at ErosBlog for the pointer. I’ll leave you with another shot of Nina, this time enjoying some anal action with the Femdom Empire site.
