Pardon me

This shot made me smile. I typically don’t like images where the dominant is staring a the camera rather than engaged with her submissive. It makes me aware of the camera’s presence, and forces me into the role of voyeur rather than an invisible fly on the wall. However, this image makes me think that I just inadvertently stumbled into the scene. It feels like something from a comedy of manners set in an English country house.

Me: Oh! Excuse me. I am terribly sorry.
Lady Chelmsford: What? Ah, well, you see…
Me: No, no, my mistake. I can see you and Sir Reginald are a little busy.
Sir Reginald: (muffled voice) What the hell’s going on back there?

Clean

After yesterday’s lengthy post, here’s a nice minimal, clean image as a palette cleanser. I like the bare walls, stripped bed and her simple yet beautiful style. There’s actually quite a lot of interesting play going on – bondage, mummification, CBT, hooding and foot worship. But it doesn’t come across as complex or cluttered. It has a pleasant symmetry.

Spikes and heels

Continuing the CBT theme, here’s a nice combination. There’s the brutal force of a high heel bearing the full weight of the mistress. And then there’s the precise, delicate but oh so painful spikes of the wartenberg wheel. I like the idea of layering the sensations in this way. It’s not nice then nasty. It’s nasty and then different nasty.

I’ve played with this kind of cock trample box before, and they’re a lot of fun. In one way you feel kind of safe. The box is taking the weight and there’s no careless trampling and crushing of the body going on. On the other hand, the very deliberate and careful trampling that does happen, really tends to catch the attention!

Blogpocalypse

I’m beginning to wonder if my blogroll is going to need some major revisions come July 20th this year. That’s the release date for the new Batman movie – The Dark Knight Rises. This film features a powerful double whammy, in the form of catwoman as played by Anne Hathaway. I know from past posts that there a lot of catwoman fans out there (HMP and lovetosubmit, I’m looking at you) and Anne Hathaway fans aren’t exactly thin on the ground (calling Servitor). I therefore fear that this deadly combination will just be too much for some of my submissive fellow travelers, a peak of perfection that will leave them drained, apathetic and with no reason to keep blogging. We’ll just be left with a lot of puzzled female bloggers wondering what the hell happened and where everyone went.

In an effort to lessen the shock and acclimatize everyone ahead of time, here’s an intriguing new poster from the movie (full resolution version here). I kind of like it. And by ‘kind of like’ I mean ‘Dear God, would you look at that.’ I only hope the movie itself is a little tauter than the previous one. I enjoyed it, but I think it would have benefited from more aggressive editing and a shorter running time.

Travelling

I’m taking a few days vacation, so posting may be a little more erratic than usual. I’m planning to enjoy some really good food, excellent cocktails and hopefully a decent amount of kinky play. Between all that, I might manage to bash out the odd post or two.

In the meantime I’ll leave you with this shot I found on the Strawberry Mistress tumblr. It features a rather well muscled gentleman and an elegantly poised lady. As the British expression would go, she has a fine set of pins on her. It also taught me that July 24th is International Femdom Day, something I was previously unaware of. I’m looking forward to it already.

Perched on her pet

A cute shot this one. He has a gentle puppy look about him, where she looks a lot more carnal. Sometimes in a cage shot like this one there’s a sense of a firm but caring and playful owner/pet relationship. A bit like owning a dog. Not so much here. She looks like someone with delightfully evil plans, and the look in his eyes says that he knows his role in them.

Bringing the fantasy to life

I came this shot on the deviant art site while writing yesterdays post on the artwork entry for Shiniez. It’s by the artist John Walker who goes under the handle HazyCosmicJoe on the deviant site (free account login required). The caption he’d supplied on the picture was…

I think he’s being a little modest, as this is a beautiful picture.

Browsing his gallery was a little weird, as it looked like he’d reposted some ‘famous’ bondage shots from the 90’s. And by famous I mean circulated endlessly on usenet and early web sites. It took me a few minutes to cotton on to the fact he was actually the original photographer. He went under the handle PJW on the sites BDMAX and FDMAX. I always enjoyed his images (for example this one) and it was a nice but odd moment to come across his work again over a decade later via the Shiniez connection.

On the cusp

The shot below is taken from the gallery on Mistress Alex’s site. She has a lot of great images in that gallery, with many that are far more explicitly BDSM than this. There are cages, naked men, whips, floggers and beat downs. All sorts of good stuff. But this slightly more ambiguous image is the one that really appeals to me. I think it captures a moment of balance, the point where all the possibilities of a session begin to resolve into the actualities.

There’s often a lot of laughter and banter at the start of my sessions with Lydia. Some of that is purely practical. It takes time to get ropes tied and bodies arranged, and it’s more fun to talk than not to. A larger part of it is is the nervous energy and anticipation we’re feeding off of. I don’t quite know what’s about to happen, but I’m looking forward to finding out. The domme has got a good idea what’s about to happen, but until it starts to unfold has (presumably) no idea how her ideas will translate into the energy and dynamic of the scene. I love that point of transition, the shifting balance between us, the changing gears of dominance and submission. Hallways are a natural transition place and this image, with its choice of doors and “I was waiting for you” stance, captures an element of that session moment.

Depressingly good advice

Strange over at the Treats for the Strange blog has a “good” post on the topic of how to approach a dominant woman. I have quotes around “good” in that sentence not because I think her advice is bad or unnecessary, but because I find it depressing that these kind of posts have to keep being written.

Do not start by saying ‘I am not worth your time’.
…
Do not start by saying ‘I know I am not what you’re looking for’.
…
Do not say ‘I am a dominant, but I’d submit to you’.

When I see these statements my first thought is “Really? Do some submissive guys actually do this? How stupid are they?” Unfortunately, my follow-up thought is then about the number of times I’ve seen the same kind of advice from so many different dominant women. Which tells me that yes, if lots of dominant women feel compelled to independently repeat this, then there clearly must be a lot of submissive guys out there who need to be told. That makes me depressed. I then realize that these guys are my competition in the D/s dating pool, and yet I’m still single. That’s normally about the time I decide I need a stiff drink. And how having written this, I foresee a blend of gin, campari and sweet vermouth in my very near future.

I like this shot, but those heels look pretty dangerous for navigating stairs. I hope he’s ready to break her fall if necessary. I found the image on the GeekDomme tumblr. Which, I have to say, sounds like a truly excellent combination of characteristics.

Nice equipment

After a post featuring a lot of naked me, it seems only fair to provide a contrasting post. This one therefore features 0% scrawny naked English guys, but is 100% packed with hot dominant red headed women. I’m not sure if that’s constitutes a fair rate of exchange, but it’s the best I’ve got to offer.

On a personal note, I have to admit that my first thoughts on seeing this were not about the beautiful woman in the skintight catsuit. Instead they were more along the lines of “Wow, that’s a really cool bondage chair. I’d love to play with that.” I’m not sure if that means I’m turning into a BDSM equipment geek, or I’ve just seen too much femdom porn for my own good. Possibly both.
