A stereotype rejuvenated

If you asked someone to describe this picture I think it would sound like a million other femdom images. There’s a mistress flexing a cane and staring into the camera. But this is that one millionth and one image that somehow makes the stereotype seem fresh again. I like the feet casually slung onto the desk, with the just hint of stocking showing. And I’m a sucker for women in glasses. But it’s that quirky smile and slightly off center glance that really makes this work for me. She looks like she’d very much enjoy wielding that cane.

Ideal for light spanking

I know Pulp Fiction spawned the expression “go medieval on your ass”, but I never realized anyone might take it quite so literally. I believe that’s a ball and chain, or more generically a flail, that Lady V is wielding. I’m not exactly sure how you’d incorporate something like that into a scene, but I’d hope the operative expression would be ‘very carefully’.

Butterfly Boarding (revisited)

Having recently posted about the parasitical nature of this site, I now find myself in the happy position of being able to contradict myself and share some original content.

However, before doing so, I feel a number of warnings are necessary. Firstly, the content is taken from a fairly intense session I did a couple of weeks back with Lady Lydia. There are some pretty graphic shots, with blood in a couple at the end. Secondly, the images are all taken with a camera phone, albeit a fairly high end one. Now with the warnings out the way, let’s move onto the session itself. I posted at the end of last year about butterfly boarding. It looked like a very interesting and intense approach to incorporating needles into a scene, and I was keen to try it. I was confident Lydia would be a wizard at it, and that proved to be absolutely correct. A Convenient Handle

Ms Brutal Gemini had an entertaining post over on the hang forums the other day. She was shopping with a potential new submissive in tow, and becoming increasingly annoyed with his tendency to wander off in front of her. Clearly the old expression: “If you’ve got them by the balls, their hearts and minds will follow” needs a little revising. A dick is easier to hold and seems to work just as well.

Fun Furniture

I’m a big fan of original and fun BDSM furniture. There’s a lot of scope available for creating items that facilitate interesting physical and mental torments whilst also being cool pieces of design in themselves. The chance to plan and build a dedicated play space, with this kind of furniture in it, is one thing that might eventually get me out of a downtown condo and into a real house.

There’s a good couple of examples below. The first has been all over various tumblr sites, but I believe it originally came from Sir’s Little One. Obviously custom built for the space, I like the idea, but think it’d be better with more of the cage exposed. It looks just a little too cosy a place to be.

In contrast the next example definitely does not have a warm cosy feel to it. I guess you’d call it a floating board and it can be found in Mistress Annabel’s dungeon. She’s a London based pro-domme, with a fine selection of furniture. I love the heavy industrial look of the buckles and the metal frame. Very utilitarian and no doubt very easy to wipe clean of blood! There’s also a St. George’s chair on the right and a St. Andrew’s cross at the back.

Caught in a web

This elaborate suspension bondage is by Domina Nia (warning – background music), a New York based pro-domme. She famous, or I guess I should say infamous, for being one of more extreme and sadistic dommes currently working. I’ve no personal experience of her, but I do admire and appreciate the skill required to execute this suspension. And it leaves the submissive in a perfect position for torturing.

Shoe Shine

This is a surprisingly unusual image. I know that sounds a little tautological, unusual things almost by definition should be surprising, but I’m surprised by the fact that it is actually unusual. Foot and boot worship is a very common femdom theme. The New Boot Black’s Oubliette I referenced in my last post is full of it. And shoe shine stands are a common sight in American department stores, subways, airports, etc. But I can’t think of another example of the two being brought together.

If you look in the mirror you can see the guy in chair 5 turning his head to watch what’s going on. I’m guessing he later turned this into a ‘Only in New York….’ anecdote for his buddies.

Whipping

Mistress Katya had some poetic words to say about her whips on a recent forum post.

This may also sound absurd but each whip holds a personality within them. My morgan is playful but to the point. It’s my all purpose whip and my most comforting one. It’s like carrying a teddy bear with you. I feel “off” if I don’t have it with me. My Tellas are a little more serious. Sexy black and broken in, they mean business. This caught my eye for two reasons. Firstly, it’s just damn sexy. I want to be in on the receiving end of the kiss that burns forever. To relax and linger in her whips embrace.

Secondly, I think it’s a beautiful illustration of the pleasure a top can take in her tools and from a type of play. There’s often a lot of attention payed to the reaction of the submissive: adrenalin, endorphins, marks and bruising, sub-space, etc. But speaking personally, one of a key components of a good scene for me is that the top is also really enjoying themselves. I don’t want to be with someone just going through the motions. A good scene should be highly sensual, a gratification of senses for both the sadist and the masochist. Ideally it should be a shared intimate act. Not simply a fun fair ride for the submissive.

Humbler

Believe it or not, this post was actually inspired by my previous one on Underling’s artwork. Whilst there might not seem much of a connection between spanking art and intense CBT, his blog is called Underling’s Humblings, and that got me thinking about the other type of humbling frequently seen in a femdom context. As I haven’t posted many humbler pictures to date, this seemed like an opportune time for one.

This is a particularly nasty variation on the standard humbler, as it not only has the cross bar that pulls the testicles back, but also a vice-like component for crushing them. They’re already looking pretty red, and she hasn’t really started tightening the vice yet. Here’s a second shot from another angle that shows it in a little more detail. I’m not sure where the rope goes, but if it is attached to his hands via an overhead pulley, and she’s forcing him to slowly straighten up, then it’s an even more wonderfully sadistic set-up than it appears at first glance.

I’m afraid I don’t know the source of this image, but I recognize the domme as a Simone Kross. She’s a pro-domme working out of Nashville (having just moved from LA) and has been featured on this blog in the past. I’m not sure whether to be proud of the fact I recognized her immediately, or slightly concerned about what that implies about the amount of femdom material stuffed into my brain.

Did someone call for a plumber?

This image is taken from a gallery entitled ‘Psych Ward’. A better title might have been ‘Plumbing and pipe fitting around the home – it’s easier than you might think.’ That is one large sound. And, without meaning to give offense to the model involved, not a particularly enormous penis to accept it. Although its possibly just being dwarfed by the hardware deployed.
