An arch of needles

I love everything about this image. The symmetry of it. The precision of the needle line. The sense of calm intensity. The shadowy figure of the domina, imposing and yet not defined. It’s probably my favorite image of all that I’ve posted to date.

I think my reaction to needle play was one of the biggest surprises I had (out of many) when first getting involved in BDSM. It had zero appeal at a fantasy level, and was something I’d recoil from if I came across it in femdom porn. In reality it turned out to be an amazingly intense and enjoyable activity. Although I have to admit to almost fainting on my first attempt, so minus several masochist points there. Fortunately, I have got a little better since then.

I was actually in a similar position to this gentleman a week or so ago, but instead of an arch across the chest, the mistress (Lady Lydia in my case) placed pairs of needles at the top of each arm, my hips, my shins and the edge of my hands. I came across this link on that favorite site of all procrastinators everywhere – fark.com. I’m not really sure what ‘Attack of the Show’ is, or who Candace Bailey is for that matter, but as far as mainstream representations of kink are concerned this one didn’t seem too terrible. It’s obviously mostly an excuse to show some attractive women in tight latex, but I can imagine at least a few people out there might have thought: “Hmmm, that looks kind of fun.” Which is better than the more usual: “Wow, what a bunch of freaks.”

Butterfly Boarding

I was completely unaware of this particular needle play technique until a few days ago, when I stumbled across a post on it via Mistress Sade’s blog. It instantly leapt high on my ‘to do’ list for 2011. It looks like it would be very intense.

For anyone as in the dark as I was, the photograph below should give you a pretty good idea of what happens. This particular image was taken from Domina Yuki’s site and, as you can see, she’s pulled the cock and balls through a board and then pinned it down with a large number of needles.

If you’re interested in more detail on exactly how it’s done, then the images from Mistress Sade’s blog post (entirely unrelated to the shot below) are considerably more graphic. I really advise you not to look if close-up images of needles and penis piercing is likely to disturb you. That said – the original blog post is here. I found the sequence of shots quite remarkable, both from the obvious skill in execution and the beauty of the arrangement.

Nice Marks

I’m always proud of any marks I’m left with after a session. They not only act as a happy reminder for days or even weeks later, but also as a sign of a joint achievement. A collaborative effort that yielded dark rich red and purple stripes. The mistress skillfully laid out the design and I managed to take the entire thing.

The Sensual Lady Ramirez

Normally when you think of a dominatrix the typical adjectives that leap to mind are words like strict, stern, sadistic and serious. But whenever I see photographs of the beautiful Lady Ramirez the word that always leaps to my mind is sensual. I give you this face sitting shot as a case in point.

Normally I’d say alcohol and BDSM don’t mix. It’s never a good idea to combine potentially dangerous activity with judgment altering substances. But this attitude packed photograph is definitely an exception.

Natsukiss In Motion

A couple of years ago I stumbled across a few short video clips of Natsukiss, and she instantly became the “#1 Mistress I’d love to do a scene with but probably never will” (every sub has that category, right?). She’s clearly a beautiful and talented domme, but what really stood out and pushed my buttons was her natural sadism.
