Snapping the strap

I had a busy weekend, so no time for posting or writing much. This drawing seemed like something quick and fun to start the week. The pose of a kneeling naked man and a domme brandishing a strap is straight from the big book of femdom cliches, but there’s a great sense of humor and playfulness to this. They both look like they’re enjoying the moment.

It’s a very well executed drawing, but I can’t find out much about it. I believe it’s by an artist who goes under the handle NK, but that’s all I have on it.

Vintage Beating

I’ve no idea when this was actually shot or what was the original publication context. I just like the semi-authentic nature of it. Clearly it’s posed for a photographer, but there’s a smack of verisimilitude that you don’t find in a lot of old shots. Or in a lot of modern shots for that matter.

Kinky fashion throwbacks

Why is it that so much ugly and dated clothing often shows up in connection with the more domestic corporal femdom shots? I know some people complain about too much leather and latex in femdom porn. Personally I’ll take some stylish leatherwear over garments that look like they escaped from a 1970’s Sears catalog. Last week we had a rather distinctive skirt, and in this post features an equally striking blouse. I think she looks great. I like the stare and I like that heavy leather strop she’s sporting. The blouse I could do without.

My personal theory is that a lot of this porn is targeted at middle-aged males who grew up in the 60’s and 70’s. Since domestic discipline often has a school or family theme, they’re therefore aiming for a look that men associate with the female authority figures of their childhood. Or of course, they could just be throwing on the cheapest skirts and blouses they can find on ebay.

A striking skirt

The great thing about porn and the internet is that no matter how obscure your kink, there’s something out there for you. For example, I’m sure there are people out there with a thing for being punished by women in hideous 1970’s skirts. This image is for them.

The skirt aside, I do like the everyday outfit, the business-like stance and the rolling up of the sleeve. It looks like the warm-up has just finished, and she’s about to get serious with that strap.

It’s the little things…

…that make a great photograph. In this case it’s her stretching motion and the associated facial expression as she reaches up to beat his feet. There’s plenty of restrained naked man that’s within easy reach. But she’s not simply waving the strap around, hitting whatever is in range while the photographer clicks off shots. She’s a mistress with a mission. She wants to inflict a particular type of pain, and she’s not going to let a simple matter of height or reach get in the way of that. That simple stretch conveys so much more about the scene we’re witnessing than all the other fetish elements.

Classroom Spanking

In one sense this a very old school (pardon the pun) spanking image. There’s a classroom setting, a strict teacher and a strap being deployed at speed. However, the spankee doesn’t look like your average school girl. And her skin tight dress is certainly not the type of thing employed as a school uniform (sadly). Perhaps this is the headmistress disciplining one of the teachers for getting a little too familiar with her pupils?

Added Whizzer Black to Femdom Artwork

His drawing style may be a little crude, but there’s a real sense of fun around Whizzer Black’s images. That’s something you don’t often see in erotic artwork.

90’s Flashback

I expect that anyone who hung around usenet in the 90’s looking for femdom material will instantly recognize this. It’s from leda, one of the great early producers of heavy spanking and corporal punishment films. The production quality of their work looks pretty poor by today’s hi-def standards, but the material itself still packs a real erotic charge. Any lovers of a more traditional style caning and spanking should certainly seek it out.

This image is taken from a short lived magazine they produced called Ma’am. They only had a handful of issues, but once scanned they circulated for years on the spanking newsgroups. I think this particular shot was also associated with a movie series called something like ‘That dreaded box’. I particularly like the contrast between his intense pained expression and the two women standing calmly at the back waiting for their turn with the strap,

Elegant but…

I’m conflicted about this image. On one hand she’s very beautiful and I do appreciate a dominant woman dressed elegantly. It projects an image of controlled power and assurance, rather than the stereotypical ‘trying too hard’ look of leather and buckles. However, what’s with that awkward stance? That pose together with those shoes really does not look comfortable. And that imagined discomfort sends a bad message about who really has the power and control here. A dominant woman should be relaxed and self-assured. Not awkwardly posing for the greedy male eye.
