Kind of ironic that after my last post entitled ‘Stupidity in the UK – now slightly reduced‘, the country just voted to leave the EU. I’ll avoid going into the politics, and try not to alienate 50% of my UK readers, but I can’t say I’m a fan of that result. My opinion doesn’t really count for much however, as I’ve been away too long to have been able to vote.

I’ll mark the moment with a quintessentially British femdom scene. This is an older man dressed as a public schoolboy, enjoying the English Vice, being administered by the strict English mistress Domina Liza for the English Mansion site. Feel free to imagine him as David Cameron or Boris Johnson (depending on which side you were) if it’ll help you deal with the result.

What big medals

I’m normally a bit wary of posting military uniform pictures. I like them, particularly vintage ones (like this or this), but there’s often a strong hint of Nazi about some of the domme military outfits. While it’s true that the bad guys always have the best outfits, I’m not sure we’re quite far enough away from WWII to hijack its imagery for sexual pleasure. Or at least I’m personally not comfortable with that.

Fortunately, this shot of an American actress pretending to be a communist jet fighter pilot from the cold war has no such moral issues. The lady in question is Janet Leigh (most famous for her role in Psycho) and the movie is Jet Pilot. By all accounts it was a terrible movie, but I do think Ms Leigh looks great as the Russian pilot, particular with the Princess Leia hair (20 years before Star Wars).

Frau Doktor

Writing about medical play put me in mind of some of the elaborate German playspaces I’ve featured in the past. I think if I was ever going to do a kinky world tour, then Germany and particularly Berlin would feature high on my list of places to visit. They seem to invest in more elaborate playspaces and equipment, particularly for medical themes, than anywhere else in the world.

Real or fetish?

When it comes to medical play it’s sometimes hard to tell the fantasy from the reality. Some people invest a lot of money into creating a realistic experience. Presumably at some point, when you’ve got a playspace that’s as well equipped as the average surgical center, there really isn’t much difference.

I originally stumbled across this image on a femdom tumblr and assumed it was a medical fetish shot. In that context and with her pose, that seemed the most likely thing. Then I looked at it some more and thought that it actually could just be a regular medical shot. After all the equipment looks pretty serious and she doesn’t have the usual fetishistic nurse outfit. Some hunting around got me to a medical fetish site that currently appears to be dormant. So it actually is femdom, but I wouldn’t have been too surprised to end up at a medical equipment catalogue. I always admire the dedication of people who invest this level of effort and detail into realizing a particular fetish.

Dark lady of the Sith

I haven’t seen the new movie yet, but I’m not above jumping on the bandwagon as it rolls by. Mistress Vader would make a great addition to the scene I featured in a previous Halloween themed post.

It would be pretty fun to play with a kinky Sith Lady. That choking thing Vader does in the original movies would make for some pretty hot breathplay. And as a fan of electrical play, I can also imagine having fun with the force lightening bolts. Probably best to leave the lightsabers in the closet however. They would count as extreme edge play.

The surreal life

After the previous post’s surreal subject matter, I now bring you a post with a surreal image. This is from the Rinryu site, and I have absolutely no idea what it’s about. There is a maid, a butler, a pair of ‘schoolgirls’, a guy in a horses head (but lacking trousers) and another in what looks like a dog outfit. With their pose and the positioning on the steps it looks almost like an old fashioned household family photograph. Maybe it’s a pose for their annual Christmas card?

Odd moment

It’s always weird when my vanilla world and kinky world intersect in some unexpected way. I’m used to my BDSM themed Google Alerts popping up strange kinky news stories. I’m not so used to them firing up stories about my childhood football team (Aston Villa), as happened in this article today. There’s nothing particularly new about comparing masochism and BDSM to being a sports fan, particular when it is for a perennially losing team. It was just strange to see a kinky alert pop up for my paltego alter-ego on a topic I associate with the school playgrounds of my childhood.

British football doesn’t appear to attract a lot of femdom imagery, so I’m going to have to fallback on the American version for today’s picture. Anything that involves attractive cheerleaders and ball kicking is inevitably going to lead to a certain type of kinky imagery. In this case it is Ashley Fires taking the free kick (or the punt).

Cynthia Payne

I was sad to read of the death of Cynthia Payne, who died on November 15th aged 82. As this obituary makes clear she had a rich and complicated life, and was a famous advocate for sex work. Despite having a great name for a dominatrix, she wasn’t strictly that. Instead she worked as an escort, brothel manager, sex party organizer and general provider of both kinky and non-kinky experiences. Maybe it says something about the English that she started as a general sex worker, but became known for all the kinky activities she was asked to help organize.

Two different films were shot based on her life. The early years were portrayed in Wish You Were Here. However, the more relevant one for this blog is Personal Services. Directed by Terry Jones (of Monty Python fame) and starring Julie Walters (from films such as Educating Rita and Billy Elliot), it told the story of her later life and sex work. It’s pretty tame by today’s standards, but I think worth seeking out. I think this quote gives a flavor for the very British humor involved…

I don’t have a picture of that scene, but here’s another one from the movie featuring another particularly British kink.

Religion and Kink

I don’t feature the topic of religion in many of my posts. It’s typically something I have no interest in. A bit like reality television or college sports. I recognize that some people get very excited about them, but I don’t really get why.

Despite this fact, I did enjoy this article by Valerie Tarico on the common themes of Christianity and kink. That’s certainly not a new comparison and many people have commented on it in the past. I just found this article to be one of the more interesting and readable takes on it.

Oddly enough (in my weirdest segue ever), it reminds me of the old joke about Ayn Rand and Orcs. To paraphrase it for this context: If forced to pick between religion and kink, then keep in mind that one’s a strange cult involving odd outfits, tortured naked bodies, unbelievable stories of perverse practices and punishment by all powerful authority figures. The other is a great way to have sex.

Dress up games

For some kinky people any night of the week is a good one to put on a fun costume and go to a party as another character. The rest of the world tends to reserve that kind of behavior for special occasions. In the US that means Halloween. Traditionally that’s the time for occult decorations, kids stuffing themselves with candy and articles debating or decrying how sexualized costumes are these days.

With the new Star Wars movie coming out this year, I’m expecting that’ll be a popular theme. In that line, my favorite really terrible costume to date is this one for Darth Vader. Clearly literally seconds of thought went into that design. They didn’t even bother to give her a light saber. By contrast, I think the outfit in the image below is brilliant. It’s sexy, grimy, accurate and she has a kick ass sparkly storm trooper helmet. Plus, they’ve got a vacuum bed for the carbonite frozen Hans Solo. Admittedly, that’s probably hard to take to a party, but it’d work great if you were hosting.

I’d love to know where this is from, but reverse image searching gives me absolutely nothing. If anyone can help me attribute it, then please leave a comment.
